DALLAS, TX - Connor McDavid's second goal of the night, just 32 seconds into the second overtime, lifted the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.
Evan Bouchard scored the game-tying goal with just 55 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. McDavid then sealed the victory with his overtime winner, assisted by Leon Draisaitl.
With the win, the Oilers improve to 12-5-2 on the season and move into sole possession of second place in the Pacific Division. The Stars, meanwhile, fall to 9-7-3 and remain in fifth place in the Central Division.
The two teams will meet again on Thursday night in Edmonton.
